The Embassy of the Republic of Poland, the Embassy of Ukraine and Saint Ansgar’s Cathedral
kindly inform about the official launch of the exhibition “Mom, I don’t want war!”
at 17:00 on 16 September
at the St. Ansgar’s Cathedral
The exhibition presents moving testimonies of children from two wars.
Historical drawings of Polish children from 1946, which are a record of their trauma of the German Nazi occupation of Poland in 1939-45,
and contemporary drawings of Ukrainian children, related to the Russia’s war in Ukraine,
collected on the “Mom, I See War” portal.
The exhibition shows a war through the eyes of a child.
Irrespective of place and time a war is a huge evil and the child is always a victim of it.
“A child is not a soldier and does not defend the homeland. Though a child suffers with it”.
Janusz Korczak
